New Order with special guest Johnny Marr at the Boulevard Pool

When Joy Division's Ian Curtis committed suicide in May 1980, the band’s three remaining members, Bernard Sumner, Peter Hook and Stephen Morris continued under the name New Order. Sumner took over vocal duties and the trio embarked on a low-key tour of the U.S., intent on continuing as an entity independent of the massive reputation Joy Division had achieved shortly before their demise. Later that same year they recruited Morris's girlfriend, Gillian Gilbert and wrote and rehearsed their debut album, Movement, which was released the following year. New Order went on to become one of the most influential and acclaimed bands of the 1980’s. Since then, the group has released a multitude of albums, including 2013’s Lost Sirens.

Friday, April 12

Vampire Weekend with special guest Tanlines at the Boulevard Pool
$30 (plus applicable taxes and service charges)

Vampire Weekend, featuring Ezra Koenig, Chris Baio, Rostam Batmanglij and Chris Tomson, came together in early 2006 while its members were attending school at Columbia University. The group released its self-titled debut album in early 2008, which debuted within the Top 20 of both the American and U.K. album charts and went on to become one of the year's most popular indie releases. Following two years on the road, Vampire Weekend released its second album, Contra, in early 2010.

Wednesday, April 17

Of Monsters and Men and Local Natives at the Boulevard Pool
$25 (plus applicable taxes and service charges)

Of Monsters and Men is an amiable group of five day dreamers from Iceland whose debut album, My Head Is An Animal, is a collection of infectious folkie pop songs. With the group’s bright, trumpeting single “Little Talks,” the band (consisting of Nanna Bryndís Hilmarsdóttir, co-singer/guitarist Ragnar “Raggi” Þórhallsson, guitarist Brynjar Leifsson, drummer Arnar Rósenkranz Hilmarsson, and bassist Kristján Páll Kristjánsson) has become a break out act all around the world. After a veritable breakout year, My Head Is An Animal was officially certified platinum worldwide by the RIAA. Surpassing 1 million sales, the record remains a clarion call for the band's inimitable, intimate, and invigorating style.

Formed in 2008, Local Natives craft their dramatic and eclectic brand of indie rock from their home base in Los Angeles. Featuring guitarists Ryan Hahn and Taylor Rice, keyboardist Kelcey Ayer and drummer Matt Frazier, Local Natives’ debut album, Gorilla Manor, arrived in the U.K. in 2009 and in the U.S. the next year. In January 2013, the band released its sophomore album, Hummingbird, featuring the single "Breakers."

Hot Chip with special guest Four Tet at the Boulevard Pool
$26 (plus applicable taxes and service charges)

Hailing from London, Hot Chip debuted in 2000 with the release of its hypnotic EP, Mexico. Comprised of Alexis Taylor, Joe Goddard, Al Doyle, Owen Clarke and Felix Martin, Hot Chip’s electropop sounds have captured the ears of fans everywhere, earning the group a Grammy Award nomination for Best Dance Recording for the single “Ready For The Floor.” Hot Chip released its fifth full length studio album, the experimental In Our Heads, in 2012.

The Postal Service’s only album, Give Up, was released in 2003 and featured the wildly popular “Such Great Heights." Despite the album’s critical success, the Postal Service went on an extended hiatus. Now, ten years after Give Up’s release, the band has reunited to tour.

Saturday, April 20

Band of Horses with special guest Jake Bugg at the Boulevard Pool
$25 (plus applicable taxes and service charges)

Emerging in 2004, Band of Horses gained an audience in their native Northwest before its debut album Everything All the Time made the group indie rock darlings. Two albums later, 2007’s Cease to Begin and 2009’s Infinite Arms (which earned the band a Grammy Award), Band of Horses released Mirage Rock in 2012 featuring the single “Knock, Knock.” Band of Horses features Ben Bridwell, Creighton Barrett, Ryan Monroe, Tyler Ramsey and Bill Reynolds.
