The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas welcomes The xx to the Boulevard Pool on Wednesday, Oct. 10 at 9 p.m.
Tickets to The xx will go on sale Friday, July 20 at 10 a.m. PST and are available online at www.cosmopolitanlasvegas.com or through Ticketmaster at 800.745.3000. General admission tickets are $26 (plus applicable taxes and service charges). Each ticket comes with a complimentary digital download of the band's new album, Coexist, which releases on Sept. 11. A limited number of premium cabanas are also available online or by calling Ticketmaster at 800.745.3000. The xx is an all-ages show. Guests must be 21+ to reserve a cabana.
Indie pop group The xx formed in London in 2008 when current band members Romy Madley Croft, Oliver Sim and Jamie Smith were still in high school. Built around the duel vocals of Croft and Sim, the group's signature brand of moody, soulful indie rock first appeared on the public radar in early 2009 with the single "Crystalised," which created a huge buzz among critics and fans alike. Later that year, The xx released their self-titled debut LP and hit the road. Since then, the band has played a number of high-profile summer festivals, and even saw their album win Britain's coveted Mercury Prize.
