THE COSMOPOLITAN OF LAS VEGAS WELCOMES BURGER BAR HOLSTEIN’S BY LOCAL RESTAURATEURS BLOCK 16 TO ITS ROSTER OF CULINARY TALENT

LAS VEGAS (August 17, 2010) – The all-star culinary lineup for The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas, a new luxury resort opening December 15, 2010, just got tastier with the addition of Holstein’s, a new burger concept from local Las Vegas restaurateurs Billy Richardson, Kyle Madden and Chef Anthony Meidenbauer of Block 16 Hospitality (LBS Burger Joint at Red Rock Casino, Resort & Spa and Pink’s at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino).

With an emphasis on fresh, natural and organic ingredients, Holstein’s will bring better burgers and a funky, homegrown attitude to The Strip. The menu will feature specialty burgers, house-made sausage, riffs on traditional American snacks and appetizers, as well as a wide variety of shakes and sides. All items – including toppings, buns and condiments – will be custom crafted in-house according to tried-and-true recipes created by Chef Anthony Meidenbauer. The beverage program will feature an array of artisan and hand-crafted beers.

The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas will offer culinary concepts from some of the country’s top chefs and restaurant brands. To date The Cosmopolitan’s prestigious roster of chefs and restaurant brands opening for the first time in Las Vegas also includes: Blue Ribbon Sushi Bar & Grill by restaurateurs Bruce and Eric Bromberg; Comme Ça by acclaimed Los Angeles chef David Myers; one of the world’s finest Greek restaurants Estiatorio Milos by Costas Spiliadis; Spanish tapas restaurant Jaleo and China Poblano, an entirely new Chinese and Mexican concept by celebrated chef José Andrés; Scarpetta and casual new winebar D.O.C.G. by award-winning chef Scott Conant; and STK, the popular and sultry steakhouse from The One Group and Chef Todd Miller.
