    Our commitment to the community

    Since opening, The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas has supported our local veteran community through job opportunities, learning initiatives and an ongoing commitment to veteran organizations. We currently employ hundreds of talented veterans who play crucial roles in all areas of the resort and The Cosmopolitan is dedicated to further developing programs that support veterans in transition from the military back to the workforce.

    The Cosmopolitan is committed to supporting the hiring of veterans and military spouses, but our initiative is about much more than just hiring. If our efforts to support our local veterans will help them secure employment with any organization, we consider that a win. We're proud to give back to this incredible population of veterans and their families.

  • The Four Pillars

    1. Hiring - The Cosmopolitan regularly hosts career mixers, interviewing skills workshops, and community job fairs.
    2. Training & Education - We provide a variety of educational opportunities for veterans, including life skills training classes.
    3. Mentorships - Veterans are matched with a Veteran CoStar to help them successfully transition to the civilian workforce and The Cosmopolitan's culture.
    4. Community Involvement - Our CoStars work together to support local veterans and their families through volunteer events, sponsorships, donations and other forms of community engagement.

    Program Recognition

    • HIRE Vets Gold Medallion Program Demonstration Award, 2018 - As the only veteran hiring award at the federal level, the HIRE Vets Medallion Program implements the requirements of the Honoring Investments in Recruiting and Employing American Military Veterans Act of 2017 (HIRE Vets Act). The award recognizes companies that exhibit leadership in recruiting, employing, and retaining America's veterans.
    • Veteran Supporter of the Month, May 2018 - This award from the Nevada Department of Veterans Services recognizes both active organizations and non-veteran Nevada community members that provide exceptional support to military stationed in Nevada, Nevada veterans, and their families.
    • Southern Nevada Society of Human Resources Management Certificate of Appreciation – For outstanding support of Las Vegas veterans.

The Supporting Our Veterans initiative is part of the Blackstone commitment to hire 100,000 veterans and military spouses by 2022.
