Beginning with its first LP, Everything All The Time, Band of Horses has been a mainstay of indie rock for more than a decade, with four studio albums in total, including 2010’s Grammy-nominated Infinite Arms and Mirage Rock, produced by the legendary Glyn Johns. Formed and led by singer and songwriter Ben Bridwell, the South Carolina-based band has produced many much-loved singles, including “The Funeral” and “No One’s Gonna Love You," and have played globe-spanning headline tours as well as dates with such greats as Pearl Jam and Neil Young. In 2016, Band of Horses released its highly-anticipated fifth studio album, Why Are You OK, co-produced by the band and Jason Lytle and executive produced by Rick Rubin.
Inspired by such rock legends as Neil Young and the Beach Boys, Wilderado’s sound is both familiar and dreamy, combining elements of folk, pop, and rock into an eclectic mixture of twangy, well-crooned harmonies. Known for the intimacy of their shows, each performance by Texas and Oklahoma natives Maxim Rainer, Colton Dearing, Tyler Wimpee, and Justin Kila has a natural level of positive energy and charm that feels like a living room set put on for their friends. Their 2016 debut EP, Latigo, features wildly melodic songs like “Morning light,” “Rubble to Rubble,” and “Already Loved.” Wilderado’s newest track, “Petra Rae,” hearkens to the harsh realities of life describing the tumultuous relationship a band member had with his ex-wife.
