Since 1968, English hard rock band Deep Purple has been leading the loud charge for heavy music, influencing generation upon generation of axe-wielding musicians with such riff-heavy songs as “Highway Star,” “Woman from Tokyo” and the all-time classic, “Smoke on the Water.” Deep Purple is touring behind its latest studio album, inFinite, whose first single, “Time for Bedlam,” was released in December 2016.
Beginning in the early 1970s, Alice Cooper pioneered a grandly theatrical brand of hard rock that was designed to shock. Drawing equally from horror movies, vaudeville and garage rock, the group created a stage show that featured electric chairs, guillotines, fake blood and boa constrictors, while crafting such timeless radio staples as “I’m Eighteen,” “No More Mr. Nice Guy” and “School’s Out.” As a solo act, Alice Cooper continues to tour regularly, performing shows worldwide with the dark and horror-themed theatrics that he’s best known for.
Long established as one of music's true pioneers, Edgar Winter continues to shine as that rare blend of successful rock-n-roller, experimental artist, and consummate musician. Winter has written hit songs, toured extensively with great commercial success and explored the realms of rock, boogie, R&B, jazz, and pop, to introduce listeners to his diverse musical influences.
