Art Program

An ever-changing lineup of inspired contemporary art.

The Cosmopolitan is committed to presenting fresh, innovative, and provocative art that satisfies the cultural sensibilities of its sophisticated guests. Our wide-ranging program features installations and immersive experiences throughout the resort intended to be interactive and accessible, while fostering a greater awareness, understanding and appreciation of art.

To build the most meaningful collection imaginable, The Cosmopolitan is collaborating with several organizations that share our perspective on art and agree that it should not be an intimidating or esoteric domain only appreciated by experts and scholars. We have assembled, and will continue to assemble like-minded, best-of-breed partners that will help us serve as a catalyst for creativity and culture and inspire interest in art and music.

  • Lobby Digital Art

    Digital Art

The Cosmopolitan’s digital art program spans numerous screens, panels and displays inside and outside the resort. It includes the award-winning lobby digital art installation, which comprises eight 15-foot columns and a panel spanning the length of the front desk, all of which continuously display a curated library of digital art. Other installations include the Beacon, a two-sided, 150-foot-wide LED video display situated atop the Boulevard Tower and visible across the Las Vegas Valley.

  • Art-o-Mat

    Art-O-Mat

The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas features five Art-o-mat machines, each of which dispenses a variety of original artwork. Created by artist Clark Whittington, Art-o-mat machines are made from cigarette vending machines that have been repurposed as a vehicle to distribute art to the masses. Over 90 Art-o-mat machines are currently in existence, featuring small works of art by more than 400 artist collaborators. Each piece of Art-o-mat art is boxed and wrapped in cellophane inside of the recycled cigarette machine. Artwork is distributed to the guest via a pull-knob dispensing mechanism—exactly like old-fashioned cigarette vending machines.
