Death Cab for Cutie

GRAMMY® nominated Death Cab for Cutie is an alternative rock band formed in Bellingham, WA in 1997. Band members include Ben Gibbard (vocals, guitar, piano), Nick Harmer (bass), Dave Depper (guitar, keyboards, vocals), Zac Rae (keyboards, guitar) and Jason McGerr (drums). Made popular by their use of instrumentation as well as Gibbard's unique voice and lyricism, the band has released eight full-length studio albums over the last 18 years. The band’s fifth studio album, Plans, remained on the Billboard 200 Chart for a year, going Platinum. The album’s success was driven by three popular singles: “Soul Meets Body,” “Crooked Teeth,” and “I Will Follow You into The Dark.”

The band released their eigth studio album in April 2015. Named Kintsugi, after a philosophy derived from the Japanese art of repairing cracked ceramics with gold, this album was the band’s first time recording with a producer other than their own Chris Walla. Walla helped shape Death Cab’s sound since the band's inception. Kintsugi earned them a GRAMMY® nomination for Best Rock Album in 2016.

Pure Bathing Culture

To hear Sarah Versprille and Daniel Hindman tell it, their Portland, OR-based band Pure Bathing Culture has always evolved naturally and at a steady pace. The roots of PBC stretch back to 1999, when Versprille and Hindman befriended one another on the first day of freshman orientation at William Patterson University in Wayne, New Jersey. A decade later, they became bandmates when they both joined Vetiver for their Sub-Pop albums Tight Knit and The Errant Charm. It was while playing in Vetiver that Pure Bathing Culture emerged as its own entity.

Their second studio album Pray for Rain is the sound of Pure Bathing Culture transforming from who they were to who they will be, of finding their way, ready to take steps both small and momentous on their musical path.
